Nonna Bertilla’s Tiramisu

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp caster sugar
  • Vanilla Essence
  • 250g mascarpone
  • 20 Savoiardi Biscuits (Lady Fingers)
  • 180ml strong coffee
  • 4 tbsp Marsala wine
  • Cocoa powder


  1. Step One: Beat the egg yolks with vanilla and mascarpone. Mix well
  2. Step Two: Beat the egg whites until stiff then fold into the mascarpone mix
  3. Step Three: Mix coffee & marsala wine then dip the Savoiardi Biscuits gently
  4. Step Four: Grab a rectangular bowl and line the base with the biscuits then top it with the mascarpone mix
  5. Step Five: Chill for an hour then dust with cocoa when you are ready to serve
