Ingredients
Dough:
yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup hot milk
1/4 cup raw sugar
1/3 cup butter
Salt to taste
An egg
4 cups flour
Filling:
1/2 cup melted butter
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
Raisings, hazel nuts or pecan seeds
Glaze:
4 tablespoons butter
2 cups icing sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
How To Make
Heat the oven to 180 Celsius. dissolve yeast in warm water and set that bowl aside. In a large bowl combine milk, sugar, melted butter, salt and egg. Add 2 cups of flour and mix until smooth. Then add the yeast to it. Mix in remaining flour until dough is not too watery. Knead dough on a floured surface for 8 minutes. Grease a bowl well and let the dough sit in it and rise until dough doubles its size, usually hour would be enough.
Punched down the risen dough. Roll out on a floured surface. Spread melted butter all over dough. Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over it. Sprinkle with nuts or raisins if desired. Beginning at the 15-inch side, role up dough and pinch edge together to seal. You will be able to make at least 12 to 14 slices.
Line a baking tray, Place cinnamon roll slices close together in the pan and let rise until dough is doubled, let it be for approximately 1 hour. Bake for about 30 minutes or until nicely browned.
Meanwhile, mix butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Add hot water 1 tablespoon at a time until the glaze reaches kind of thick consistency. Spread over slightly cooled rolls.
