It is getting too complicated being human, guess it’s time to be a unicorn. Unicorns are all about magic, sparkles & rainbows. To be a unicorn eat like a unicorn. Today we will be making a very unicorn like sparkly, fancy, colourful and extra delicious milkshake recipe. I know Starbucks is already doing their own-unicorn-thing but honestly not to brag but this recipe will blow your mind. These unicorn milkshakes are pure MAGIC! A rich, thick strawberry milkshake is topped with a rainbow of different sprinkles and candies to make a delicious drink fit for a unicorn.
For the base I used coconut-strawberry swirl ice cream. If you can’t find that in a store you can make your own base by using regular strawberry ice cream with a dash of coconut extract. It would taste similar. For the liquid, I used some sweet cream with French vanilla and flavoured it with macadamia extract. It is not going to taste a lot like cream or vanilla because strawberry is the hero of the recipe. Reason of getting macadamia infused liquid is, it gives a delicious nutty flavour and it complements the taste of strawberry and coconut. Without further ado let’s hop in to our magical unicorn drink recipe!
This recipe yields about 500 ml of liquid which means you can make two large milkshakes or you can go for 4 mini ones. All about your preference! Preparation Time: 15 mins
5 large scoops of strawberry-coconut swirl ice cream
1 cup frozen strawberries
½ cup macadamia Creamer
½ cup multi-colour mini marshmallows
¼ cup vanilla frosting
½ cup colourful sprinkles
Any decorative topping (candy canes, toffees, lollipops, marshmallows, nuts etc)
Blend the ice cream, strawberries, and Macadamia Creamer in a blender until you receive a smooth creamy texture. To add a cool look to the glasses. Cut the mini marshmallows in half and press it on the inside wall of the glasses. Slightly dampen the marshmallows and press it to the walls so that it sticks, Snip the miniature marshmallows in half. Continue with all the glasses. Apply a thin layer of vanilla frosting around the top rim of each cup. Place the sprinkles on a paper and press and hold the frosted rim on the sprinkles to decorate the rim. Add some glitter on it. Pour the milkshake to the cups. Top the cups with whipped cream, add a spoonful of sprinkles on the top of it. Throw some glitter around as well. Now it is time to decorate! As I told you choose any fun decorations you like. Create your own unicorn milkshake by adding lollipops, wafer sticks, candies, nuts or anything you want because unicorns are all about being their unique selves, right? Enjoy!
